Enoch

Enoch was the son of Jared, and Jared was the son of Mahalaleel, and Mahalaeel was the son of Cainan, and Cainan was the son of Enos, and Enos was the son of Seth, and Seth was the son of Adam. Adam was created by God in His image and had no human father.

Enoch lived for 365 years before God took him alive to heaven. He was the first human being to be translated by God without experiencing death. Why? The Bible tells us that Enoch walked with God, and as a result God was pleased to take him alive to heaven. What does walk with God entail? It means Enoch had faith in God and trusted Him. Hebrews 11:5 tells us that before his translation, Enoch pleased God. In verse 6 of the same chapter, it says, “Without faith it is impossible to please Him.”

What, then, is faith? Faith is taking God’s Word as the truth. Whatever God says in His Word the Bible, you believe it and act on it. It does not matter whether there is a delay according to your own expectations or timing. You wait patiently for it without devising your own way. "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame" (Romans 10:11).

You may not be translated alive into heaven, but if you believe in Jesus His Son as your savior, one day you will be with God after death.
