God created the first man (Adam) in His own image, and by His breath Adam became a living soul. God formed you in your mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5). He knows you by name. God watched over you in the womb. Because of His love for you, no evil came to you.
As you grew and began to crawl around, His angels watched over you to keep you from danger. On your first day at kindergarten and through elementary school, even to college, God protected you because of His love.
Because God does not change, His love for you does not change. Even when He must discipline or correct you, His love is still the same. “For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines” (Hebrews 12:6).
When you marry or start a family, God’s love never diminishes; He ordained marriage. Jesus was at a wedding in Cana when He performed His first miracle. He made a miraculous provision to meet the groom’s need, and that was because of His love!
Whenever you are sick, because of His love, He sends His word and heals you. “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107:20).
When you become old, His love will still be the same for you. Hear what God said in Isaiah 46:4: “And even to your old age I am he; and even to gray hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.” God also promised that when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, no evil will overtake us.
Above all, God showed His greatest love by sending His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die for your sin. When you believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you will live with Him forever, even when you are no longer here on earth. "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends” (John 15:13).
So, what does God require of you? He said it in Micah 6:8: “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?”
